Annapurna Panorama trek is an ideal for those trekkers who are seeking for short and relatively easy trekking to view the experience of the Annapurna Himalayan range by remaining the limit of lower altitudes which will not go above 3210m. This exciting Short and easy trekking is designed to give trekkers an immensely satisfying scenic walk and the taste of Nepal’s diversity of Natural and cultural resources in a short time frame.  This foot trail passes through beautiful Himalayan valleys, dense green forests covered with Rhododendron forests and icy waterfalls where you can stop to cool your tired body which is also the main drinking sources of Himalayan Villages. During this trek, every point has a mesmerizing glimpse of the high Annapurna & Dhaulagiri mountain ranges parallelly in-front of your eyes.

This region falls under the Annapurna Region and is the first protected conservation area in Nepal the name Annapurna Conservation area project(ACAP) started in 1986.  It covers an area of 7,629 sq. km. and is home to over 100,000 residents of different cultural and linguistic groups. ACAP is rich in biodiversity and is a treasure house for 1,226 species of flowering plants, 102 mammals, 474 birds, 39 reptiles and 22 amphibians.

There are several features that make the Annapurna region a unique place in the world. It contains world’s deepest river gorge – Kali Gandaki Gorge, which is 3 miles long and 1.5 miles wide, a valley with fossils from the Tethys Sea dating 60 million years ago. The region contains world’s largest rhododendron forest in Ghorepani. Tilicho lake, located in Manang – north of Annapurna massif, is the world’s highest altitude freshwater lake. While trekking this route you can view the different Himalayan ranges like Mt. Annapurna, I, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Gangapurna and Annapurna South. Further views of the mountainous area include amazing panoramic scenes of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre, Lamjung Himal, Tukuche Peak and third highest mountain in the world Mt. Dhaulagiri. You will also pass through beautiful Nepali villages from the ethnic communities Gurung’s and Magar’s who are very rich in their own culture, tradition, and Language. The Annapurna Panorama trek is also a shorter alternative for the Annapurna Circuit Trek and Annapurna Base Camp Trek for those who have difficulty with the greater mobility.

DAY1-DRIVE TO NAYAPOOL - TREK TO TIKHEDHUNGA(1540M): L/D

From Pokhara, you will drive to Nayapool, from where the actual trekking trail begins. You will follow the east bank of Modi river and reach at Birethanti which is a beautiful village situated at 1000m from the sea-level. The stone trail climbs steadily up the side of the valley to reach Hille and after 15 mins of walking, you will reach Tikhedhunga.

DAY 2-TIKHEDHUNGA TO GHOREPANI(2750M): B/L/D

The next day trail crosses the Tikhedhunga Khola on a suspension bridge then drops to cross the Bhurungdi Khola on a larger bridge at 1520m. The trail climbs very steeply on a stone staircase that is said to have more than 3300 steps and from the top Annapurna South (7219M) and Hiunchuli come into the view. The unrelenting staircase continues to the larger Magar Village of Ulleri and reached at Banthanti. Beyond Banthanti the trail enters the magnificent Oak and Rhododendron forests crossing the sparkling clear streams before reaching to Ghorepani.

DAY3-HIKE UP TO POONHILL (3195M) AND TREK TO TADAPANI (2685M): B/L/D

Early in the morning a 45-minute hike takes to Poon Hill (3200m) to enjoy the sunrise view over Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Tukuche Peak (6920m), Nilgiri (6940m), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Annapurna III (7855m.), Machhapuchhre (6993m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.), Lamjung Himal (6931m.) and other numerous snow-capped mountains. After a refreshing detour in the morning, the hike goes down to Ghorepani where we will have a hot breakfast at the lodge. From here we continue our trek to Ghandruk (2650 m). The walk begins by ascending up through the rhododendron forest, towards a hilltop called Deurali. Then we go downhill (moderate trail-not always downhill) to Tadapani.

DAY4: TADAPANI TO GHANDRUK VILLAGE: B/L/D

Ghandruk is the second largest Gurung settlement in Nepal. It is surrounded by neatly terraced fields and framed by outstanding views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre. After breakfast at Tadapani, it’s an easy trekking day, descending gently all the way through rhododendron, oak and other kinds of dense forests with different kinds of birds chirping on the way. This is one of the most popular destinations for the bird watchers. Ghandruk is a traditional Gurung village with friendly, welcoming people who will entertain us with their heart-warming hospitality. There is a handicraft center and Gurung museum where we can learn more about these incredible people and their history. From this village, we can watch the sunset and sunrise setting mountains like Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna (7455m), Annapurna III (7755m) and Fishtail ablaze with golden light.

DAY5: GHANDRUK TO TOLKA

Directly after leaving through the entry/exit point arch the trail forks. Turn left at the sign to Landruk and descend steeply to the Modi Khola climbs first to Landruk and then reach to Tolka.

DAY 6: TOLKA TO PHEDI AND POKHARA

Today is the last day of our walk. it is an easy and short hike to Dhampus village. After Dhampus, the trail drops down to Phedi, the end point of our hike. After a 30-minute drive, we will reach Pokhara.
