Gurung Heritage Trail trek is one of the best trails to see the lifestyle, culture and Traditional lifestyle of Gurung ethnic community of Nepal who are living on the foothills of Annapurna Himalayan region since many centuries. During this Trek, the trekkers will have an opportunity to learn the culture of Gurung peoples, spend their overnight at Gurung Old traditional houses with their family or Community Homestay run by the Local villagers. You can also enjoy the cultural dance perform by the Gurung community which is also known as Ghatu, Sorathi, and Serka. On top of this, you can actually participate in these dances with the villagers.
The main aim of this trek is to find the lifestyle of Gurung community on the remote villages of Nepal, learn their well-preserved culture, see their unique lifestyle and also to view the spectacular mountain views of Annapurna I, II, Lamjung Himal, Machhapuchhre, Buddha Himal (6673 M), Himalculi, Manaslu and other ranges from different angles and Landscape. You can also enjoy much unique hilly landscape, Farmlands, Dense Forests, Beautiful White rivers coming down from the Himalayas, Local rituals and Buddhist Monasteries.

DAY 1: POKHARA- DRIVE TO BESISAHAR - KHUDI: L/D
The trip starts early morning from Pokhara and Drive to Besisahar which is also known as the Gateway to the Annapurna Circuit trek region of Nepal. We will follow the Prithivi highway and then take left after Dumre Bazaar to Besisahar of Lamjung District. From Besisahar we will do 2 to 3 hrs of Trek to Khudi village which is a typical Gurung Village.
DAY 2: KHUDI TO GHALE GAON: B/L/D
After Breakfast at Khudi Village we will follow the route to Ghale Gaon which is also called the SAARC model Village and is situated at an attitude of 2070 M from the sea level. Which is a perfect combination of home stay-based tourism destination in Nepal. In this village, mostly the ethnic group Ghale and Gurung lives below the beautiful landscape of Annapurna Himalayas. The village is very clean and all the roads are stone paved, houses are very traditional and they have run the community homestay facility for Tourists and traditional way to welcome their guests. They serve locally produced foods and vegetables at their homestay and most of it are organic. This village also serve Annapurna, Manaslu & Lamjung Himalayan ranges from famous view point.
DAY 3: GHAE GAON TO BHUJUNG: B/L/D
This day we will reach to Ghan Pokhara after some hour of Trek from Ghale Gaon which is another beautiful Gurung village, we will explore the Ghan Pokhara Village which is rich on Gurung Culture & Tradition and Trek to our final destination for today at Bhujung Village another Gurung settlement at Annapurna Foothills. We will also explore the Bhujung Village and if we are lucky, we can see the bee hives of Wild bees on the rocky mountain and can actually taste the wild honey. Lots of Tourists come to this place for Wild honey harvesting festival at this village. Also, we can see the beautiful landscape of Lamjung Himal village from this place.
DAY 4: BHUJHUNG TO PASAGAON: B/L/D
Bhujung is another Gurung Village on this trail where more than 400 family lives and very rich on their own culture and Tradition. We will cross Midim river and can see the small hydro Power Project at this river. After some hours of Walk we will reach Khumeru Danda which is situated at 2200 M from the sea level and this place is a perfect place to view the Manaslu, Himal chuli , Ngagi Chuli and Boudha Himal. We will stay overnight at community homestay at Pasagaon.
DAY 5: PASAGAON TO NAGIDHAR: B/L/D
Today the trail will continue to Rudhi Khola valley and reach to Nagidhar village. We will have a chance to view beautiful landscape of midhills village of Nepal and lots of Farmlands around Rudhi Khola Valley. We will also have chance to see the forest which is reach in Biodiversity. The final destination of todays trek is Nagidhar Village.
DAY 6: NAGIDHAR TO YANGJAKOT: B/L/D
Yangjakot is another authentic Gurung village near to Pokhara valley. This is also beautiful village full of stone roof traditional houses in a dense loop structure and you can clearly see the Local culture when you enter to this village. People are using traditional tools and spending their day to day lifestyle on their houses and farmlands. Gurung peoples are also very rich with their Jewellery & ornaments specially, women’s wore them and old men wore traditional dresses called Bhangra. From Yangjakot you can view great Himalayan view of Annapurna I., II , Lamjung Himal and Mt Fishtail.
DAY 7: YANGJAKOT TO TANTING: B/L/D
An early start takes you to Chasu which also have the check point for Annapurna conservation office. Later on the evening we will reach at Tanting Village which is very near to Annapurna II. At tanting they also have beautiful community run homestay for the Guest.
DAY 8: TANTING TO SIKLES: B/L/D
Tanting & Sikles Gurung village are also very famous tourist destination which were recognised by Nepal Government since many years of ago because of their unique culture and celebration. Sikles village is full of Traditional lifestyle and culture life. We will stay overnight at Homestay and eat organic food produced inside the village.
DAY 9: SIKLES TO TARA HILL TOP: B/L/D
This morning after the breakfast, we will head towards the Tara Hill top which is very famous destination to see the Sunrise over Annapurna Dhaulagiri Himalayan Range from 2800 M altitude.
DAY 10: TARA HILL TOP TO GHALEKHARKHA TO LWANG: B/L/D
After Early morning Sunrise from Tara Hill Top we will head towards Ghalekharkha and after to Lwang village. Lwang lies in picturesque view of Machhapuchhre Himalayas, which fall under the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP), situated at an elevation of 1460m. Lwang is famous for organic Himalayan tea farming & lies 20km North-West from Pokhara. The Gurung village is also the starting point of Mardi Himal trekking route (The Hidden Paradise). The major occupations of villagers are tourism (homestay), military service, overseas employment, organic tea factory & agriculture. We will do the Tea garden tour at this village
DAY 11: LWANG TO POKHARA: B/L
This is the last day of Trekking and after the breakfast we will head towards the Hemja and drive back to Pokhara.
