Sharing Seeds, our social impact project
Every EEM booking helps fund farming, beekeeping and women's work on one hillside of the Sarangkot ridge above Pokhara.

Four kinds of work on one hillside
How we support the local community
Our own social impact project, funded from what we sell rather than from donations. It is the reason a booking with us buys more than a walk.
- Pandeli, above Pokhara
- Partnered since 2020
- Non-profit social enterprise
30%more than other collectors pay the farmers on this ridge for their coffee cherries

Work worth staying home for.
Organic Arabica coffee
Grown on the terraces by small farmers, bought from them direct, with training so the crop keeps going.
Organic bee farming
Hives kept by village households alongside the coffee, on the same organic terms.
A women's co-operative
Local women make home textiles, lead the village meals that visitors eat, and handle the money.
Vegetables and medicinal plants
Organic kitchen growing across the village, on the same land as the coffee.
How your booking helps
Sharing Seeds is paid for by the trips we run — a line in our budget, not a donation box.
A share of every trip
Part of the price of every booking is set aside for the project before anything else is paid.
Fair prices for farmers
Coffee and honey are bought directly from the families who produce them, with training included.
Income for women
The co-operative's textiles are sold to visitors, and its members cook and host the village meals.
Visits that pay the village
Travellers who spend time in Pandeli pay the village directly for the meal, the walk and the coffee.
See it for yourself
